Dr. Laurie Capogna, OD
Dr. Laurie Capogna graduated from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada with her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1998. She has been in association with Dr. Taylor since 1998 with an interest in refractive surgery. Dr. Capogna was a founding optometrist in the Niagara Falls clinic and has remained actively involved in the center since that time. She is a senior optometrist in the refractive field and has been a managing optometric director of the Niagara Falls clinic since 2000. In addition to working at LASIK PROVISION, she is an active partner at Peninsula Eye Associates where she maintains a research interest in the surgical and non-surgical correction of refractive eye disease. Dr. Capogna provides full spectrum family optometric eye care. Dr. Capogna is a member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario, the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
Dr. Dannielle Gojmerac, OD
Dr. Dannielle Gojmerac received her Honours Bachelor of Science before graduating with her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo in June 2009. She now works in association with Dr. Taylor at Lasik Pro Vision and also at Peninsula Eye Associates. Before starting at the practice, she completed an ocular disease rotation in Alabama and participated in volunteer eyecare in Jamaica. Dr. Gojmerac was a recipient of the H. Stein Research Award for her summer research on Vision and Literacy in pre-school children. She is a member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario, the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
Dr. Barbara Pelletier, OD
Dr. Barbara Pelletier graduated from the University of Montreal. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1998. In the first years of her career, Dr. Pelletier worked in Ottawa in association with local ophthalmologists and optometrists providing co-management services for cataract patients. She moved to the Niagara Peninsula in 2000 when she began to work with Dr. Taylor at Lasik Vision. In addition, she maintains a private optometric office in Niagara Falls where she practices comprehensive optometry. Dr. Pelletier has a research interest in corneal physiology and is a noted academic speaker on the subject of corneal endothelial pathology. She has presented at several major scientific symposia including the Academy of Optometry. Dr. Pelletier is fluent in English and French She is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists, Canadian Association of Optometrists, Association des Optometristes du Quebec, the College of Optometrists of Ontario, and the Niagara Society of Optometry. Dr. Pelletier is a board exam assessor for the Canadian Examiners in Optometry.
